These days all I seem to hear is anger: an unwillingness to engage in any constructive dialogue: a cancel culture that mainstream press seems to think cute; gossip; slander; innuendo; name calling; etc. You have to practically, perhaps literally, live under a rock to see that our culture (and I speak for the United States as I live here, not I say this is not going) is tearing itself apart at the seams because this nation no longer believes in truth.
Denying truth is perhaps the seed of all evil in the world, and once a people starts down that path, any endeavor upon which they embark will, in short order, descend into chaos. Truth, by definition, must be universal, unchanging, and objective. The pure, obstinate stupidity of phrases such as “my truth” cannot be over stated. We deny science such as the human species has two genders and two genders alone and these genders are determined by biology and manifest in unaltered physical characteristic present at birth. We are not “assigned” a gender as though some bureaucrat with a clipboard standing in the operating room at the moment of our emergence said, “this one will be male,” or “that’s a girl,” checking a box and thus making it so. This is beyond absurd. It is insanity. Another popular misconception is that an infant in the womb of a human woman is not alive and/or not a human being. What madness is this? I might be tempted to rant a little on these points, but I would betray this article.
No person, excepting Jesus Christ Himself, has perfect knowledge of all things. Because I, or you, or that guy, or she over there cannot know all things, that does not justify us in making things up, because we want them to be so, and proclaiming them to be the “truth.” If one cannot see the utter folly in this, then than one is deluded, completely daft, or a narcissistic liar. Where does this leave us. First and foremost we must collaborate. We must engage one another. We must dialogue with one another and we must begin to accept objective truths so as to function in this world. One being biologically a man cannot say “I am a woman” and demand that all the rational beings around him accept this as unquestionable truth, when, in fact, it is simply false. To encourage that man in his pretense is not only damaging to him, but to society and the human species. A man is not a woman. A quick illustration: A woman declares herself and eagle. Would it be wise to reinforce that in her mind encouraging her to jump from a high building or off a cliff and flap her arms furiously? Could not the sheer madness of supporting such delusion inevitably lead to an untimely demise? If someone chooses to life a gay lifestyle, who am I to judge? But if a woman demands I acknowledge her to be a man. . .with this I take issue. She is not a man. I am a man. A woman cannot know what it is to be a man anymore than a man can know what it is to have a menstrual cycle or give birth. I like games, but only with people my own age. I choose not to accept a game of make believe as reality.
But I am not allowed that choice. If my ten year old son comes to me and says, “Dad, I am really a girl. Teacher agrees with me, so now I want you to call me ‘daughter,'” to be sure I will be seeking therapeutic help for him immediately. Yet, now we are told that therapists are to deny science and if they seek to affirm the maleness of my son the therapist can loose her license to practice and I may be accused of abuse.
