I am a man of colour,
and my people, too, have done great things.

countless civilizations,
vast empires,
deep and rich cultures.

I am a man of colour,
and my people, too, have composed profound and complicated pieces of music
with multi-layered harmonies,
elaborate melodies,
and complex rhythms.

I am a man of colour,
and my people, too, have produced masterworks in paint and sculpture,
exploring form,
light,
colour,
texture,
and perspective.

I am a man of colour,
and my people, too, have contributed to the vast wealth of human knowledge,
science,
philosophy,
poetry,
literature,
and theatre.

I am a man of colour,
and my people, too, have been enslaved,
fought for justice,
bled for freedom,
and died for the equality of man everywhere.

I am a man of colour,
and my colour is White.
